Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — when performed by trained, licensed medical professionals in a clinical environment, med spa treatments are very safe. At Aesthetica Med Spa, all injectable treatments are performed or directly supervised by our board-certified Medical Director Dr. Sneed (DO). Our team is extensively trained, credentialed, and performs treatments under strict safety protocols. We prioritize patient safety above all else.
The best way to determine the right treatment is to schedule a personalized consultation with our team. We assess your skin, discuss your goals, lifestyle, and budget, then create a customized treatment plan just for you. We never pressure or oversell — our goal is to recommend only what will genuinely benefit you.
Most patients find our treatments very tolerable. Injectable treatments involve a brief pinching sensation with ultra-fine needles. Topical numbing cream is available for most injectable and skin procedures. HydraFacial and facials are entirely comfortable. Microneedling may feel like light sandpaper vibration. Our team is skilled at making each treatment as comfortable as possible.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, as this time could have been offered to other patients on our waitlist. We understand emergencies happen — please call us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance for most treatments, and 2–4 weeks in advance for special occasions. If you have a specific event coming up, book your BOTOX or filler appointment at least 2 weeks prior so any minor bruising or swelling has time to fully resolve. We can often accommodate same-week appointments — call us to check availability.
Yes! Many of our treatments pair beautifully together. For example, HydraFacial + Dermaplaning, BOTOX + Fillers, Microneedling + PRP or Exosomes, and IV Therapy + almost anything else. Our team will help design a same-day treatment plan that is safe, effective, and maximizes your results and value.
BOTOX (and similar neurotoxins like Dysport and Xeomin) relax the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles — the lines that form from repeated facial expressions like squinting and frowning. Fillers (typically hyaluronic acid-based) add physical volume to areas that have lost fullness, such as cheeks, lips, and nasolabial folds. They are often used together for comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
It depends on the treatment. BOTOX is typically repeated every 3–4 months; fillers every 6–18 months. Facials and HydraFacials are recommended monthly for optimal skin health. Microneedling series of 3–6 sessions are done 4–6 weeks apart, then maintenance every 3–6 months. Our team will provide a customized maintenance schedule during your consultation.
